Meet the RS Board
The ARURS is always looking to expand its ranks of referees. This is a great way to get involved in the game and to be paid for it!
What are the steps to become a referee?
1. Complete the World Rugby Laws Exam online (free)
2. Complete the IRB Rugby Ready Exam online (free)
3. Complete a certification course (approximately $75)
4. Register (CIPP) with USA Rugby as a referee with the ARU Referees Society.
Please fill out this form weekly to give a performance review of your referee. This is a learning tool we use to help our referees improve.
If your match is filmed please send it to us so we can review it for our own improvement. We will not share you match film with opposing teams.
Referee Fee Structure and Payment Policy
Referees are to be paid at the conclusion of the match unless previously arranged differently. The RS can send clubs an invoice in advance if they need to process a check. If a club is delinquent in paying a referee the RS reserves the right to deny match assignments until accounts are settled. Please refer to the document about specific payment information for your event.
